And it shall assume the powers assigned to it according to Cabinet Resolution No. (101) for the year 2012 AD referred to, through the following sections: –
First / Agricultural Land Protection Department, which consists of the following units: –
1- The Visiting Unit, which specializes in:
- Implementing the legislation related to the protection of agricultural lands and natural resources related to the Ministry of Agriculture, the systems and regulations issued pursuant thereto, and following up on compliance with construction outside the approved plans in accordance with the provisions of the legislation in force.
Study documents and visit sites related to public bodies, companies and partnerships wishing to raise the agricultural character to localize their projects.
Carrying out field visits to the lands required to raise the agricultural characteristic of them with regard to housing, barns, warehouses, agricultural workshops and other economic activities that belong to citizens to investigate the clarifications received of the requests submitted for this purpose and the reports received thereon.
Providing technical advice to the departments of the department.
Carrying out the tasks assigned to it with the same jurisdiction.
Preparing periodic reports on the unit’s field of work.
2- The Preparation and Review Unit is concerned with the following:
- Final preparation of requests to raise the agricultural characteristic received from the agricultural, livestock and marine sectors in the regions and public agencies.
Submitting proposals to raise the agricultural character of the cases to which the laws and legislations in force in particular apply, and after approval by the department.
Study requests related to real estate registration and ensure that they do not violate the provisions of the Agricultural Land Protection Law and the relevant legislation in force.
Review all documents and reports received from the agricultural, livestock and marine sectors in the regions with regard to raising the agricultural character.
Preparing periodic reports on the unit’s field of work
3- The Licensing Unit, which specializes in:
- Receive and document correspondence and decisions to raise the agricultural nature issued by the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Marine.
Maintain records of building licenses and approvals issued in accordance with the decisions to raise the agricultural nature issued by the Minister.
Prepare and issue building licenses and approvals issued in accordance with the decisions to raise the agricultural characteristic issued by the Minister.
Print and save documents and documents.

Second / Technical Affairs Department, with the following competencies:
- To suggest the methods, policies and programs necessary to protect agricultural lands to prevent encroachment or alteration of their nature.
Study the minutes of traffic committees for farmers and agricultural lands formed according to the provisions of the legislation in force, review them, and take into account their compliance with the law before submitting them to the Minister for approval.
Study technical descriptions and maps related to raising the agricultural character of public and private projects.
Participation in the relevant teams with regard to identifying lands intended for construction and expressing technical opinion in the proposed new plans.
Participate in documenting the assets of the Ministry in coordination with the relevant departments and authorities.
Carrying out the tasks assigned to it with respect to the same jurisdiction.
Preparing periodic reports on the unit’s field of work.
Third / The General Projects and Companies Follow-up Section, with the following competencies:
- Study documents and documents related to raising the agricultural nature of public projects, companies and partnerships.
Carry out field visits and prepare the necessary technical reports on them.
Carrying out the tasks assigned to it with respect to the same jurisdiction.
Preparing periodic reports on the field of work of the department.
